A unique experience on the Rhône river
This hybrid space is certain to instantly inspire both fun and creativity. Brought to us by the Dutch architect Koen Olthuis (Waterstudio NL, water construction specialist), L’ÎLE Ô is a 1200 m² floating architectural and technical feat that plays with gravity and an upward buoyant force.
With an approach that is both innovative and educational, born from the experience of the Théâtre Patadôme, L’ÎLE Ô welcomes a wide range of guests: children will be able to discover and practice the wonders of theatre, their parents and grandparents can take up wellness activities, and companies can benefit from one of the two amphitheatres to host their events (80 and 250 seats), all with a stunning 360 degree view of the Rhône.
The awe-inspiring innovation used to design this floating stage promises to be reflected in the experience it offers.
A thorough consideration of energy consumption has led to the development of an optimised temperature regulation system thanks to the energy from the Rhône, which also allows to move the lighting bridges, thus facilitating the operation of the theatre.
