Our company, Saveurs d’Histoire, is based in Lyon and we enjoy sharing our passion for French cuisine, wine and for beautiful sites and French History in our city and its surroundings.
Saveurs d’Histoire designs a new approach for a gourmet experience and to enjoy a tasty and sensitive way to travel back in French History. We create and produce prestigious events for groups of 30 to 250 people.
Our concept: we organize journeys into the past to experience the magic of a site and to taste the gastronomy of its time.
Saveurs d’Histoire is a blend of culture, tradition and art de vivre. We invite you to discover our historic sites in Lyon region, to taste regional cuisine. Our catalog offers you a variety of destinations (castle, old mansion, museum, wine cellar …) and innovative themes throughout the centuries and the seasons.
How does it work:
You choose a period of French history, a historical figure or a legendary recipe from our terroirs. We organize for you a lunch or a dinner with a unique combination of authentic gastronomy and immersion in a prestigious French historical site. Our concept is unique as we not only offer a marvellous and tasty meal, but we decorate the reception room, we set up the dining table, our waiters wear costumes and a selection of artists will play music, sing or play an act.
We invite you to live an immersive experience and an awesome journey through history that appeals to your senses and triggers emotions. We will tell you a story and allow you to taste French art of living.
