The largest and most interactive collection of moving miniature objects in France has opened its doors in Lyon, to our great delight.
Feel like a giant as you tower over magical, and sometimes zany, scenes of daily life. It's easy to get happily lost in all the fantastic little details added by the creators with a touch of humour and flair. Immerse yourself in a leafy-green rural landscape, a snowy mountain scene complete with skiers and chair lifts, or a town with open-sided buildings that reveal all the fascinating activity inside.
All of the scenes are animated with moving trains, cars, lights and sounds.
A single visit isn't likely to suffice!
MiniLyon — explore miniature models of the city’s iconic districts!
Only one thing was missing from these urban, rural and mountain worlds: Lyon!
The city has now been given its own dedicated space. Fourvière proudly overlooks the Vieux-Lyon (Old Lyon) district, the Ferris wheel goes round on Place Bellecour, while mummies emerge from their sarcophagi at the Museum of Fine Arts…
With faithful reconstructions and humorous touches, MiniWorld gives visitors a new perspective of the city.
Between the rivers Rhône and Saône lies the Presqu’île district and its main monuments, where legendary shows from the Fête des Lumières (Festival of Lights) are replayed every half hour. If you haven’t yet had a chance to visit Lyon during the festival, here you can see the highlights from previous years — but without the crowds!
From Fourvière Basilica to Vieux-Lyon, the city’s oldest neighbourhoods come to life with various street scenes, from a rooftop swimming pool to the scenic viewpoint on Fourvière’s esplanade.
The latest addition — the world of Part-Dieu, Tête d’Or and Banks of the Rhône — features Lyon’s high-rises, the lively river banks and the park, with its greenhouses and joggers.
Lyon is your oyster!
