An immersion in contemporary art

An internationally renowned institution for contemporary art, the IAC (Institute of Contemporary Art) is now opening its doors for events.

Last updated date : 10/01/2020

Covering more than 1,200 m2 on a site close to the Part-Dieu district, the Institute regularly makes news with its standout exhibitions and raises awareness of contemporary creation among a wide audience. It is now making its quirky premises available for events for up to 700 people. General meetings, cocktail dinners or seminars, the IAC is making its different spaces and technical teams available for the organisation of events with a touch of contemporary culture.

During exhibitions, a self-guided visit or a guided tour can be arranged for each private event booking. The IAC’s mediators provide informative explanations for a better understanding and appreciation of the selection of artworks.

Since its creation in 1978, the IAC has hosted around a hundred exhibitions of works by internationally famous artists and extends its activities by exhibiting its collection (almost 1,900 artworks) not only throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, but also in other parts of France and around the world.

During exhibitions, the following venues can be booked for private use all day on Mondays and Tuesdays and for evenings
during the rest of the week.
The glass atrium: 160 m2 – 90 people for a cocktail reception
La Cour des filles: 200 m2 – 400 people for a cocktail reception
