Making hearts beat even louder
With the upcoming opening of the LDLC Arena, a multipurpose hall designed to host major sports and cultural events, the OL Vallée leisure complex is getting ready to enhance its offer and appeal.
Beyond this diversity of facilities, converging passions and enthusiasm are what makes this opening so eagerly awaited. Lovers of LDLC ASVEL, the EuroLeague basketball club led by Tony Parker, and fans of musical events will both share the pleasure of commun grounds, which promises beautiful and surprising encounters.
This arena will also add to the range of large-scale event venues in the region, with particular attention paid to technological innovations for the best spectator experience.
A sustainable project
The LDLC Arena uses photovoltaic panels, geothermal heating and cooling, and many other modern virtuous techniques to manage its energy.
But beyond these solutions, which are now essential, the site in its entirety and in view of its future use has been designed with true awareness of ecological requirements.
This includes the use of appropriate materials, such as a lightweight planted roof covering 1 800 m².
The building occupies a former industrial wasteland that has been cleaned up for the project, and its footprint is thus limited.
The project is designed to create tomorrow’s urban space in today’s city, while preserving green spaces and even increasing their number in order to allow soil permeability and ensure the natural supply of groundwater.
