years of gastronomic excellence... and more!

Gourmet Lyon

As Laurent Gerra points out, Lyon has a cultural identity all of its own. Paul Bocuse inspires generations of chefs who perpetuate, with their own styles and personalities, the gastronomic excellence that he has embodied over the past 50 years.

Café Sillon

Café Sillon’s kitchen is an all-male affair, in contrast with Lyon’s famous female chefs, ‘Les Mères Lyonnaises’.

Here, the watchwords are creativity and mixture. But, above all, it’s about having fun!

At the grand old age of 32, Chef Mathieu Rostaing is already a seriously talented and inventive professional.
Praised by the Gault & Millau guide, this “café” is the place to come for lunch or dinner for those who like to be surprised by original and clever taste combinations.

The style here is dynamic, like the presentation of the dishes.

The seasonal ingredients often come from local producers in the surrounding area, even though the well-travelled Mathieu likes to add a touch of exoticism to his culinary creations!

Curious by nature? If so, then this is for you!

Takao Takano

There’s a little touch of Scandinavia in the minimalist, designer ambiance of Takao Takano.

The restaurant can seat 26 diners: 26 guests who are served by Takao as if he were receiving friends.
The beautifully presented dishes are an extravaganza of flavours, mixtures and creativity. For Takao, cuisine is universal.

While his Asian origins come through from time to time, there’s also a hint of the carnal flavours of Spain and Italy in the French cuisine he mastered under the watchful eye of Nicolas Le Bec, before striking out on his own and earning his first Michelin star.

This is a chef who’s passionate about his ingredients and skilfully interprets culinary traditions: two great reasons to try this exceptional restaurant

L’Atelier des Augustins

Originally from the region of Alsace, and a globe-trotter at heart, Nicolas Guilloton opened his own restaurant in Lyon a year ago.

In the 30-seat room, diners are served his instinctive and flavoursome cuisine, which is entirely home-made and gives pride of place to local ingredients, such as organic carrots from Décines, asparagus from Marmande, and fish of the day directly from Lake Geneva.

Nicolas’signature dishes are smoked, glazed and cooled eel, and Roselle pineapple delicately poached in hibiscus syrup.

Passionate about his work and always happy to share, Nicolas often leaves the kitchen to explain his creative approach to diners and introduce his favourite wines of the moment.

The restaurant can be hired for private functions and outside services are available on request.
