Let’s take our time

Summer is here! And with the summer come various tempting ideas, such as enjoying a drink or two on a terrace, spending an evening in the countryside, getting some altitude and (why not?) even walking on water!

With rivers, hills and bucolic landscapes just a few minutes from the city centre,
Lyon is a true source of inspiration for refreshing and fun events. And what if “slow working” was the new way to achieve high-performance meetings ?

A La Piscine

A tasty dip!

An iconic landmark in Lyon with its singular architecture, the Piscine du Rhône makes an immediate impression. In May this year, the pool’s panoramic terrace will become accessible once more with the opening of its restaurant A la Piscine.
On the programme: seasonal cuisine that gives pride of place to local produce and wines from the Rhône Valley (where else?!)

This incredible terrace overlooks the Rhône and sitting on it feels a little bit like a stationary river cruise. The setting is creative and modern, yet warm and welcoming. Inside, there is plenty of room (with a total of 300 m² of floor space) for all types of events, at any time, with a single aim: to create a suspended moment, a break in the heart of the city, in order to forget about work and enjoy a drink and the gourmet culinary creations created by the Chef and his team.

Behind this new venue is Culture Next, a hyperactive team of individuals with a passion for places with a strong identity, such as Le Sucre in the Confluence district. And why not continue your evening at Le Sucre after an event here?

Domaine Le Lyon Vert

Like Alice in Wonderland

The Gatsby font at the entrance to each room, the mouldings, the dizzyingly high ceilings, the interior spaces typical of the Belle Époque… All of these characteristics, combined with just the right amount of modernity, come together to form the identity of this estate, which is located between La Tour de Salvagny and Charbonnières-les-Bains, a former spa resort in Lyon’s suburbs.

The exterior offers yet more attractive features. During the summer, the permanent marquee on the grand terrace offers a commanding view over the wooded park. The perfect setting to hold stylish and convivial cocktail dinners, orchestrated by Jean-François Malle, Chef of the one- Michelin-star restaurant La Rotonde.

Also, this summer, it is now possible to privately hire the estate’s magnificent gardens for your events. Bordered by a small river, with the soft sound of running water in the background, and featuring a pétanque pitch, the gardens offer an atmosphere that’s both laid-back and ultra-refined, for stunning summer parties.
Added convenience: you can reach Domaine Le Lyon Vert by train from Saint-Paul station in less than 20 minutes.

MaPièce Fontanières

A taste of Provence a little bit further north

Garden, terrace and swimming pool for a seminar? That already looks promising on paper. MaPièce Fontanières is a whole lot more.
After stepping through the door, a few steps lead you down into an astonishing, magical setting, with a commanding view over the city. The house is built with local “golden stone” (pierre dorée) and features little benches to relax in the sun, as well as a terraced garden that is conducive to thought and coming up with your company’s next great concept... Or you can simply enjoy the moment.

The perfect place to rest your mind, stimulate your senses and nurture your creativity. The interior is unmistakably the work of “MaPièce”, with subtle decoration, beautiful materials and attention to every little detail. It feels just like home, only better.
Enjoy a refreshing setting for your meetings, press conferences and product presentations, with a refined and personal touch. This is the DNA of a brand that is beginning to spread and whose signature – “Guest Houses for Companies” – has undoubtedly never been truer.

MaPièce Fontanières
Transfer from Place Bellecour in 10 minutes.
Up to 14 people during the day / 25 people during the evening.

Now that’s what I call a yacht!

L’Officiel began welcoming its first passengers in May. The refreshing design of this 30-metre-long yacht makes a welcome addition to Lyon’s fleet of boats.
With a bright, spacious chrome design, all of the traditional yachting features are there, enhanced with a technological and graphic approach. It took Christian Desbois, one of the founders of Yachts de Lyon, two years to find L’Officiel: “We needed a boat that would both satisfy our needs in terms of hosting events, with a sufficiently large capacity (L’Officiel can hold up to 150 passengers), and meet the requirements for inland navigation.” Its renovation was placed in the capable hands of architect Stéphane Revol, whose graphic style enhances the “aluminium design” of this new floating venue.

With its 80 m² terrace, summer events will have an unmistakably Mediterranean feel!
With the entry into service of L’Officiel, Yachts de Lyon’s fleet is now able to welcome more than 300 guests for river cruises.

Les Yachts de Lyon

  • The boat L’Officiel: capacity of 100 people for seated dinners/140 people for cocktail parties and river cruises
  • Other boats belonging to the group: Le Volupté, La Mouche and Le Diabolico

Charme & Business Hôtel****

A modern inn for a green getaway

Just outside of Lyon and on the doorstep to the Beaujolais region, the Charme & Business Hôtel is located in Limonest, to the west of Lyon. It is a tucked-away haven of peace, with an authentic, well-kept interior.

Hospitality and conviviality are the watchwords of Marie-Noëlle and Jérôme, who have nurtured a “family home” spirit since their beginnings in the hotel industry on the French Riviera.
There is something cosy about the atmosphere here. However, the smallest room measures 20 m² and includes a quiet lounge area for those wishing to do a spot of work after a day of meetings.

All the necessary technology is provided, but you can also choose to put it to one side for a while to create and exchange “offline”.

After a strenuous brainstorming session, you will probably want to wind down in the Spa before having dinner beneath the centuries-old plane trees on the inn’s restaurant terrace.

Sometimes a relaxing break is just what you need!
